Aim of the game: The aim of lawn game Croquet is to get your ball into the croquet hoops, which are placed in a grid pattern on the grass. Each hoop has a number and you have to hit the ball through all the hoops with your mallet. At the end of the course you will need to hit the peg to win the game.

A little about Croquet:

The first recorded mention of croquet was in the early 1800s when it was played by members of the aristocracy at their country estates. In 1845 the first official rules were published for croquet. A few years later the first croquet club was formed in England. By the late 1850s the sport had become very popular and many clubs were being established around Britain.
